Manifesting Dreams (Thoughts Become Things)

IMG_4404

The most valuable skill or talent that you could ever develop is that of directing your thoughts toward what you want. –Abraham and Esther Hicks

Today is a day that I will demonstrate what it means to manifest dreams at its core. With a few major moves in the works in my personal life, as well as my career, I am believing in my visions of greatness for myself, and I’m owning the idea that I deserve every bit of it.

As of late, I’ve been on a roll with making my dreams come true. I’m starting to adopt the idea that I am a “MANIFESTATION MASTER”. What I mean by this is that I have long ago discovered my own formula for allowing my dreams to come true. And more recently, I have begun to master this formula, and I’ve pretty much gotten it down to a science. What I’ve discovered along the way is that my personal formula is something that can work for anyone else, aside from a little tweaking to remedy one’s own obstacles to success. Once you discover what it is that keeps you from pursuing your dreams, then you can come up with solutions that could ultimately counteract those thoughts and set you on the path to living your dreams.

A good example of this from my own experience has been my fear of not having enough money. This has been a long held fear as I grew up in a single parent home, where although my family was always well kept and provided for, my mother would often have the hardest time keeping a steady flow of income coming in as an entrepreneur. When I was a child, I was always intensely aware of what was going on emotionally within the people around me. I guess its where I developed a strong sense of empathy for others as I was always able to put myself in their shoes since I could always somehow tap into their energy space. The feeling was even more intense when it came to those I love. As I watched my mother worry about how things would get done and how bills would get paid, I developed that same sense of fear within myself that there just wasn’t enough money to feel safe to do anything outside of surviving. It wasn’t until I was introduced to the concept of the “Law of Attraction” as a teenager that I began to realize how infectious and paralyzing this “lackful” mindset was, and how it had subconsciously kept me from being my best self.

But with any belief system, its not something that just changes overnight. Beliefs are just practiced thoughts that become true for a person over time with enough repetition. I realized that in order to live the life I dreamed of living, I would have to rid myself of those crippling thoughts of “not enough.” I began to address these thoughts by introducing new ones through affirmations, such as, “All of my needs are met,” “I am safe where ever I go,” and “The solutions to my problems always show up on time.” With each new thought introduced, I would find ways to support those thoughts with action whose results would help solidify them as true in my experience. The more I practiced this new way of thinking and supported action, the more confident I became that life was much less scary then I once envisioned it to be. And with this exact concept, you can do the same… WITH ANY CRIPPLING THOUGHT!

It’s still an ongoing process. However, after years of practice, I’ve managed to find myself in a space where I’m able to catch those kinds of thoughts in their infancy stage and completely discredit every aspect of it before I allow it to affect my decision making… Pretty cool huh?! I know, but you can do it too!

I find that through this process, I am able to walk the Earth with confidence and declare that all that I desire can and will be mine with enough courage, work, will, faith, and fight.

And this my friends is how I manage to get out of my own way and manifest my dreams. There are a few more aspects that I can address later, but I hope something here resonates with you. If so, drop me a line below or shoot me an email at bcstarkspr@gmail.com.

Are You Living Your Purpose?

There is nothing like being in tuned with what your spirit has called you to be. And I’m not referring to titles that we’re always so quick to throw out there. Your purpose has absolutely nothing to do with a job title. In fact, jobs are merely channels that we use to be able to express our purpose. The key is to connect with the channel that will allow you to be more of what you are, thus giving you the room to allow your light to shine as bright as GOD intended.

This all sounds good right? But some may be thinking, “Well, what if I don’t know what that is?” As Oprah once suggested, if you don’t know what your purpose is in life, your mission is to figure it out IMMEDIATELY so that you can get about the business of living it.

Every single person is here for a reason beyond what the human mind can conceive. Just as life happens in divine order, each one of our lives MATTER all because WE ARE HERE! Of the many combinations of mating that takes place among human beings, and the fact that you and I made the cut in this lifetime; the fact that we co-exist RIGHT NOW is nothing short of a miracle. The fact that we have breath in our lungs, and the families that we have, and the experiences that we encounter, and the  many chances that we have to make another choice that will determine the direction that our lives will go is NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE bestowed upon us by the DIVINE. Do you see where I’m going with this?…

When it comes to tapping into your life’s purpose, Daniel Pink suggests that instead of asking questions like “What am I passionate about?,” which seems to be a question that often gets people stuck, better questions to discover your purpose would be “What do you do when no one’s watching? What do you read in your spare time? Where do you seem to inevitably steer your conversations, no matter what the topic is?

For me, these past few months have allowed me to step into my purpose in ways that I never saw coming. The experiences  that I’ve encountered have shown themselves to be channels for me to do what I do best… the thing that I do effortlessly, even when no one else is looking. I do this thing everywhere I go because I take myself with me everywhere I go. And when I do this thing, it makes me feel ALIVE; like I am contributing something greater than myself to those I come in contact with. I know for sure that it is my ultimate purpose because no matter what job title I have, I AM IT!! This is my purpose, and now that I am aware of WHAT I AM  and not just WHO I AM, I vow to use channels that will allow me to be MORE of WHAT I AM; those that will allow my light to shine as bright as GOD and the Universe intended. This blog is one of my channels, and it gives me great pleasure to share my purpose with those that I am so blessed to have read my words, and those that I come in contact with.

My purpose is to INSPIRE through the various skills that I have acquired through various life experiences. When I write, when I engage in conversation, when I embark on projects that allow me to share my purpose with others through service my heart smiles, my light shines, and the DIVINE approves and blesses me in my efforts. And the same happens for all those who do the same.

Make finding your purpose your main life mission. For when you do, life unfolds most gracefully and it makes it all worth while.

The Myth About Change…

“Change doesn’t take time, it happens in an instant; right when you make a decision. It’s getting ready to change that takes time.”

When I first heard this idea I was driving home after a fairly long and stressful day (which has been quite common these days) and Tony Robbins’ “Awaken the Giant Within” was playing on my radio. As simple and seemingly obvious as this statement seems, its not so obvious when one has been conditioned to think that time has to slip by in order for change to occur. These past several months I’ve been challenged to change in various ways, as every human being is put to the test. Only, I found myself knowing exactly how I needed to change, but stuck at the same time.  Why seems to be a good question to ask at this point… The reason? Well my reason is the same as every other human being; F-E-A-R.

Fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of not being good enough, smart enough, or just plain enough… whatever one’s reason is, its always based in fear.

When it comes to goals and dreams, the truth that I’ve come to know is that no matter how much knowledge and skill one may acquire, no matter how talented,  good looking or accomplished one may be, fear can be a most powerful force in keeping one’s dreams at a distance, and for some, never having them manifest.

The good news is that we as humans were blessed with a special gift; the gift of choice. We can CHOOSE to change how we view life and ourselves in ways that bring about results, instead of keeping us stuck. The problem, however, is that many of us have bought in to the idea that change takes time. SO NOT TRUE! Change is always taking place all around us at any given moment. Change happens in every instance; from thoughts, to movement, to growth, even down to our every breath. Just because you can’t see the change right away, doesn’t mean its not happening. The belief that change takes time only gives us the excuse to stay the same on borrowed time, except time is one thing that we can never get back.

As explained by Tony Robbins, the moment we make a decision that change MUST occur or else, we somehow muster up the energy and resources to make things happen. When the choice is do or die, and we’re backed against the wall we always produce a RESULT (maybe not the one we intitally wanted, but a result nonetheless)… and it almost always seems like a miracle! But the truth is that these so-called miracles are always at our disposal as humans. The moment we make the decision that change must occur, it does. But we have to be ready.

How do you get ready? As Tony suggests, we usually stay stagnant because we associate more pain with thought of change, than we do with our current circumstance. We think that changing will be more painful than staying the same because we fear the unknown. But if we decide to associate the idea of what it would cost if we don’t change with more pain, instead of the other way around, then change becomes DO OR DIE… Then, and only then is when miracles occur… that’s when we get results!

I wanted to share this idea with my readers because seeing it this way has opened up an entire new world of possibilities for myself. My hope is that it will do the same for you.

What area of your life do you know that you need to change in order for things to get better, but haven’t yet? What fear is keeping you from making a commitment to change? I really do want to know, so feel free to leave comment because we all learn from one another.
